In March Jim and I returned from our honeymoon, rested and excited to jump back into God’s movement in the city. We hosted a breakfast party and invited all the neighbors in our apartment building. The church pitched in to provide food and friendly faces. Welcoming people into our homes is a way to love the people God has put in our lives. Please join us in asking God for direction about which of our many acquaintances to pursue with our limited time.
Last month was also Easter, and our church celebrated Jesus’ resurrection in a special way. A church member Cattie led us in an activity of physically nailing our burdens and sins (written on paper) to a small, wooden cross she made. It was a beautiful time to remember Jesus’ salvation and grace! We’re also grateful for the new people God has brought to our gatherings. It is a continual answer to our many prayers for God to grow his church. Praise Him! We’re now digging into the book of Acts of the Apostles. Next newsletter you’ll hear about how we as a church are becoming better evangelists. Thank you all for your support and prayers. God hears us!
