I walk into the coffee shop, order my coffee and sit down to work. I look across the shop and see a man who is sorrowful, covered in shame and in a grieving state. How can I recognize that? I have looked in the mirror and seen the same look on my own face.
My heart is compelled to hear what is going on in this man's life. Before I know it I'm sitting across from him. I tell him I have been praying for him and ask, how can I pray specifically? A story unfolds in which the man finds himself confessing his need of forgiveness from God. I am given the opportunity to speak and God shows up in a huge way; the gospel of Jesus is shared and God gives grace, forgiveness, acceptance and love to the man in need. We prayed together that we would walk in the forgiveness given to us and give it to all those in our lives! This man is one of the many people in KC that God has plugged into His story! God is always at work in our lives, on our streets, in our churches and definitely in our coffee shops. Comments are closed.
