Converge Network Churches Unite in KC

Two churches from Central Nebraska brought their youth groups to Kansas City on a short-term mission trip: Arbor Drive and Stromsburg Baptist Church. Heartland Church in Blue Springs, MO was the local host and sending church. RMCChurch helped to bring the projects together and equip the missionaries to go out and serve the people of Kansas City.

Look at what they accomplished!

• 45+ people were fed breakfast at Cross-Lines Community Outreach in KCK on Monday.
• 40-square block area cleaned up in the Dog Patch neighborhood of KCMO
• 175 flyers passed out for a festival run by Beaumont Baptist
• 2 community gardens improved at the Niles Home for Children in KCMO
• 160 tomato plants weeded and caged at the community garden at Cross-Lines in KCK
• 2 hallways, 1 conference room and 1 youth area painted at Heartland Church
• 250 survival bags packed for HART homeless ministries
• 1 community basketball goal installed at the Blue Springs YMCA
• 1 BEAUTIFUL wheelchair ramp built for a handicapped minister in Independence, MO; he still serves the homeless, prostitutes and addicts in the Greater Kansas City area

We also welcomed a guest speaker from Restoration House who shared about the injustice of human sex trafficking and empowered us all to take steps to reverse this tragedy.

The Gospel was shared, friendships were made, and teams were built.  Leaders emerged from this group that will take the Good News to the next generation. Jesus Christ was glorified in ways that words cannot express, and lives were impacted by the TRUTH that sets men free.
