New Coaches and Support!

Acts 29 is a worldwide church planting network (more here). This Summer Jim and I went through their in-depth assessment process. The goal is that River Market Community Church would become an Acts 29 member. We sat before a board of existing Acts 29 church elders who examined our hearts and qualifications. This board recommended us for membership 'with conditions', and we are now working on completing the conditions. This process is common for a church desiring network membership. Existing Acts 29 affiliates will walk alongside us as we meet these conditions over the next nine to twelve months.

The Pros of Membership
A number of benefits exist for Acts 29 members, but the most noticeable difference for us is the network of like-minded churches who are already doing in Kansas City what we want to do in River Market. Jim is now receiving coaching for vision, preaching, and church systems. Plus, he can connect with other men who have recently walked in his shoes. I, too, will be meeting with a church planter's wife to become a better support to Jim and have a heart more united with Jesus's. Our new external advisory board (link) is also an outpouring of this development.
