One cold, wind-cutting Saturday morning, as thousands of people shopped through the City Market, we decided to bless 50 people by gifting scarves. We split up into groups and hung scarves on trees, signs, and light poles throughout the River Market area. The scarves were for anyone in need to grab. Some people expressed thanks, and others were moved to gift their own gloves and hats by placing them next to our scarves! One local resident snapped a photo and shared, "I love my neighborhood!" on Twitter.
Each scarf's tag read: "IF YOU ARE COLD, YOU MAY KEEP ME. If you know someone else that is cold, please take me to them. Donated by your neighbors at River Market Community Church."
